Why is a white box showing around my blog posts after submit comment?


This article describes a fix for the white box wrapping your blog posts after a comment has been submitted.

General Instructions:

This bug is caused by the MailChimp Plugin and comes with a very simple fix. Details outlined below.

  1. Log into your WordPress Dashboard
  2. Access the MailChimp Settings page: Settings > MailChimp Setup
  3. Scroll down and locate the option labeled “Use Javascript Datepicker?”
  4. Un-check the box to disable the javascript datepicker.
  5. Save changes and rejoice. The white box will no longer display. 🙂

Further Details:

Other Plugins such a Social Plugin will also wrap the entire Post in a white Background. This can be fixed via some custom CSS.

  • Access the theme’s Site Options Panel: Appearance > Site Options > Styling and CSS
  • Scroll down to the Custom CSS section and drop in the following code:
