By default Sterling Theme does not provide translation string for website logo url in Site Option. The following Tutorial shows you how to “translate” Site Option uploaded “Website Logo” URL so that you can have a different website logo URL for each language, which means different website logo for each language. 1) Open Sterling/wpml-config.xml file go to line 60 and add in the following. This will enable the website logo url to be pick up by WPML’s String Translation plugin.

2) Install WPML String Translation plugin and activate it. 3) Go to Site Pptions to upload a website logo. Copy the uploaded website logo URL, for example http://localhost:8888/sterling-wpml/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/sterling-logo.png 4) Now go to WordPress media upload and upload your other website logo for other languages, for example a website logo for Spanish. Copy the uploaded Spanish website logo URL. For example. http://localhost:8888/sterling-wpml/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/sterling-logo-spanish.png 5) Go to string translation panel and search for this URL http://localhost:8888/sterling-wpml/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/sterling-logo.png after you had found the above URL, click on the translations to drop the Spanish translation box, paste the Spanish website logo URL, http://localhost:8888/sterling-wpml/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/sterling-logo-spanish.png into the Spanish translation box, check “Translation is complete” and click save button 6) Now navigate to your website homepage in Spanish and you will see the Spanish website logo.
